November 2, 2017 – Graffeo Law, LLC announces that attorney Vincent J. Graffeo served as a member of the 2017 The Vulcans Community Awards selection committee. The Vulcan Awards, presented by the Vulcan Park Foundation since 2014, honor citizens in the Birmingham seven-county metro region who exemplify civic pride, progress and leadership. As a member of the twelve member selection committee, V. J. Graffeo assisted with the review and selection of final winners out of many worthy nominations. This year’s winners were announced during an awards banquet on November 2, 2017 at The Club in Birmingham, Alabama. Vulcans Awards were presented to Charles A. Collat, Sr., Lifetime Achievement; Jesse C. Frank, Hero; Keiah L. Shauku, Servant Leadership; Thomas W. Thagard III, Game Changer; and Kevin F. Callahan, Newcomer. Spear Awards were presented to Sgt. First Class Aaron Causey and J.D. Simpson, Hero; Sheriff R. John Samaniego and Michelle Bearman-Wolnek, Servant Leadership; Giles G. Perkins and Hatton C. V. Smith, Game Changer; and Daniel W. Drinkard and Drs. Michele Y. Kong & Julian Maha, Newcomer. “It was a privilege and honor to serve with fellow community leaders in choosing these fine citizens to be recognized for their substantial achievements,” remarked V. J.
